The
Info:
Tokyo:
Japanese
are the largest unreached people group in the world. Less
than ½ of 1 percent are Christian. Come and spend
time in this land of idol and ancestor worship, praying
for their salvation and sharing the gospel in order to plant
churches. The bulk of your time will be spent doing things
to meet people, building friendships, and prayerwalking
universities, parks, businesses, and other areas of this
unreached megacity. As you make friends and get to know
them you will look for opportunities to talk to them about
Jesus. This will be iWitness's 8 th summer in Japan , and
we are really seeing God begin to move and draw Japanese
to himself.
To
apply for this trip make sure you fill out the College
Xtreme Journey application , not the Missouri Super
Summer application.
Base
Camp: Before
the trip students are required to attend training provided
by iWitness called Base Camp. This time is focused on team
building, spiritual preparation, training, etc. This team's
Base Camp location is still being determined. Base Camp
will take place in the Dallas area more details to come.
Commissioning:
We are encouraging
each church to commission their student. However, we will
also have a time of commissioning at the beginning of Base
Camp. This will coincide with a brief Parent's meeting and
reception as students are dropped off for their training.
Cost:
The trip cost
is approximately $3500. This cost includes airfare, in-country
transportation, housing, food, Base Camp, insurance, supplies,
administrative fees, etc. The only expenses not covered
in the trip cost will be the student's transportation to
Base Camp, transportation home from the airport, and souvenirs.
