While
in Germany (and even still), Father truly taught me that
ministry happens while you are living life. There becomes
a point where there is a difference between “doing” Christian
things and constantly placing Christ in all that we do.
Every day is filled with divine opportunities and divine
appointments. If we ask Christ to let us see things the
way He sees things, and hear things the way He does- He
will answer that prayer and we will become susceptible to
the workings around us. We must be intentional in our relationships
no matter where we are. Since I have been back it is amazing
to watch God doing big exciting things in my home town that
are just as big and exciting as overseas. God has a global
mission for every room I step into, no matter where I am.

I
got to share my faith with a guy at the English conversation
group. He was into philosophy, and he knew that I was into
the Bible. I suggested that we trade, and we could discuss
what we thought about it. So I marked a Bible in John for
him to read. The next week I was so excited to see what
he thought about the Bible, but when I asked him about it
he said he thought the Bible was full of curses and that
he got a headache when he opened it. I had to learn how
to go to battle for him spiritually, and I am still there
battling against Satan!

We
got to sit with E and talk to her for about an hour or so.
While we were talking and sharing life, God allowed us to
share once again the love of Jesus with her. We talked about
the many similarities and HUGE differences between the Muslim
and Christian faith. We discussed forgiveness, Jesus' sacrifice,
the assurance of salvation, the judgment day, the fruit
that true believers should bear, and prayer. She asked me
how I prayed. I told her prayer is simply a conversation
I have with God. Sometimes I pray with others, sometimes
out loud, sometimes silently, and sometimes I even write
my prayers down. I had my journal with me and read her one
of my recently written prayers. It read, “Jesus, I want
to know you more, I want to love you more. Let me feel your
nearness…” When I looked up she was crying. She said she
was so touched that I tell Jesus I want to fall more in
love with him. I know the Holy Spirit is working in her
life.
