"I have a dream that awakens passion within me almost every day. I have a dream that among evangelical teenagers it will become normative for almost all of them to go to the front lines of missions for a period of a month to two years during high school or college.

I hope every youth group will go out to do mission projects together. But at least once, every student needs to go without the group - to do what God uniquely has called and gifted him or her to do."

Richard Ross - Professor of Student Ministry, SWBTS

"Even though it can seem hard to allow your leadership students to be away from your ministry during the summer months; it may be one of the most beneficial things for them as well as for your ministry. Two of my core students went with iWitness, and many others caught the vision to go from them upon their return. This vision was not just about a summer trip, but these students became focused on reaching our entire community. Giving students the opportunity to go should become a priority in our local ministries if we are to be the church we have been called to be."

Aaron Groff - Paramount Baptist Church, Amarillo, Texas

What is the ultimate goal of your student ministry?

We have many goals in student ministry, and they are usually great goals. We want our students to enter college with their faith strong enough to stand the tests to come. We want our students to avoid the major pitfalls of sin. We even want to get them involved in sharing their faith. But what should be the ultimate goal of our student ministry? At iWitness, we believe that the ultimate goal of student ministry should be to complete the Great Commission. This is, afterall, the ultimate goal Jesus left to the church. So, the question now is this: How do you get your students involved in Great Commission "completion" work? iWitness can help.

There are three ways that we can help you build a missional mindset in your students.

Group Treks: Let us come alongside your student ministry as we provide you with everything you need for an amazing missions experience in Europe working with people from all over the world. Get more info, read testimonies from other student ministers, and check out one GT's online journal at our Group Trek Info Page.

Xtreme Journeys: Point a few of your students who are passionate for God and have a desire to make Him known toward one of our Xtreme Journeys. These students will be placed on a team with other students and experienced leaders, and they will serve overseas among least reached people as they work with IMB missionaries and church planters.

All of our Xtreme Journey teams attend a 2-3 day Base Camp experience where we focus on areas such as crossing cultures, team building, spiritual preparation, task-specific preparation, etc. Our teams leave from Base Camp to their destination country where they join in the ancient work of God alongside IMB missionaries. All of our teams engage in church planting and/or evangelism type work, and all of our students learn that God has called them to live on mission with Him, whether they are on their school campus or on the other side of the world.

Check out the Xtreme Journey opportunities for this summer by visiting the

Current Trips Page.

Please let us know if you have some students who would be good prospects. Our application deadline is coming up quickly! We need your help.
